Welcome and introductions

  • 17 members in attendance

Board and Treasurer Report:

  • Goal is to raise $5,000.00 which will be used to treat non-native invasive aquatic plants.
  • Balance from April at $4,950.55
  • Deposit $765.00 ($250 from paid dues and $515 donated for weed control)

  • Balance of $2,040.12 as of June 2016
  • Only have 16 paid members (membership information and form on website)

Curly Leaf Pondweed Treatment 2016:

  • 14.9 acres treated in April with Aquatic Solutions training a few LELIA volunteers.
  • Treated three areas: north shore, Ridgewood Bay, and east bay areas.
  • We had excellent weather conditions (low wind) for treatment.
  • The results of this treatment are excellent since not seeing any CLP weeds matting on the surface of entire lake!
  • It is believed that this the first time ever that CLP has not matted on surface and been a nuisance.
  • Suggest that those treating individual shoreline through Lake Mgmt. Inc. instead contribute half of what they would spend to LELIA to treat off shore and likely will benefit them also.

Carp Bounty:

  • Bow fisherman continue to harvest carp (non-native exotic fish) but not taking advantage of carp bounty funds of LELIA.
